You can achieve great things with us! Your responsibilities at a glance
- Independent booking of cargo space and containers with shipping lines
- Negotiating and finalizing freight rates
- Operational management of export shipments from booking through delivery
- Coordinating loading times and pre-shipment procedures with our own warehouse as well as external service providers and carriers
- Proficiency in using common portal sites and digital port systems (including German Ports and Portbase)
- Preparation and creation of customs-related documents, such as ABD
- Communication with customers, shipping lines, agents, and international business partners
- Ensuring timely and cost-effective export processing
Your expertise matters! Our desired profile
- Completed training as a freight forwarding clerk or a comparable business qualification.
- Experience in the field of transportation, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Knowledge of transportation planning, price calculation, and preparing quotes.
- Ideally, experience in customs clearance as well as in import and export operations.
- Strong organizational skills, a structured approach to work, and a good sense of priorities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, and a passion for collaborating with customers and logistics partners.
- Proficiency in MS Office and, ideally, experience with ERP systems.
- Good written and spoken German and English skills.
